A Hodgepodge of Northern Tradition Links  by Jeffrey Elric Diehl

The Northern Gnostic  This is my Christo-Heathen webpage that I created in early 2000.
I'm pleased that it has become closely associated with the English Folk Church of Andrew Waterhouse.

I am a very proud member of the Asatru Folk Assembly.  If you are new to all of this and want to learn more about our traditions in the AFA, please check out Steve McNallen's informative FAQ

Odsmal   Odsmal is one of the greatest Asatru books ever written. Modern Heathenry needed a tome such as this!  Containing profound wisdom, this book offers a glimpse of Asatru's highest potential.  Gudrun Kristin has done a great service for all contemplative Asatruar.

Seidhman Rants An excellent exploration of the mirror image ancestral community living underneath us.   This exceptional work, written by a man who ran out of luck, is highly recommended!

What would Odin say about Gun Control?    If you want gun control, use both hands.

Like most Asafolk, I have a tremendous respect for the Native peoples of North America    In fact, my daughter has a small amount of Cherokee ancestry.   The following important articles by Stephen McNallen, are from the Asatru Folk Assembly.
Indian Wannabees   The Red Tribes Speak!   Asafolk and American Indians
Here is the Lakota Declaration of War which the AFA fully supports.

Viktor Rydberg   In my opinion Rydberg understood Norse mythology better than anyone. The work of this great mythologist has been continued by William Reaves. This is the most important research that has ever been done on Heathen theology.

Here is Viktor Rydberg's Teutonic Mythology which was translated by Rasmus B. Anderson.
Also please check out Eysteinn Bjornsson's Synopsis of Rydberg's Edda.

Isaac Bonewits' Homepage   Lots of info on various kinds of Druidism both Fraternal & Pagan.

Irminenschaft    Irminism is the German sect of Heathenry.    Irminic Lore Study Page

The Denali Institute of Northern Traditions   This unique runic study offers some rarely seen perspectives on the Northern Tradition.  I find the goals of this site most appealing.

Aerospace Technology Guild      preparing a place for Asatru in outer space

Enter Hildolf's Den      a very pleasing personal site about the Odian path

compelling and thoughtful page -  The Circle of Free Choice

SIGRDRIFA Publications    dedicated to those who hold the keys to hearth and home

Finnish Mythology     Information Centre of Finno-Ugric Peoples    Although the Finns, Sami and Huns are not Indo-European, their cultures are still a large part of the Northern Tradition.  These are well done pages on the mysteries of Finland.

Robin Hood    Great information on this Saxon hero.
Robin of Sherwood fanzine   Saxon Chronicles
Puck- That shrewd and knavish sprite called Robin Goodfellow

Celtic Pagan Religion: A Narrative History    excellent essay by Steven L. Akins

The Dorset Ooser  This is about a horned folk mask that disappeared at the end of the nineteenth century.  I'm grateful to finally find some good information on this important part of our heritage.     (This link might be gone.)

Thorshof   Superb site about Thor and the Vanir.  Superior artwork as well.   Exquisite!

WolfRaven's Celto-Germanic Page     I love Asatruar that practice both Teutonic and Celtic religion!  The two cultures are really just different expressions of the same faith.  Celts and Teutons share many of the same gods under different names.  It pleases me when people recognize this.   (This link might be gone.)

The Rune Net         The Rune Net is forging a blade of runic might in the South Pacific.

King Arthur: A Man for the Ages    resource for Arthurian Lore
I have always seen Arthur as an echo of Thor.

The Grail Chapel of Our Lady   Many Pre-Christian traditions are disguised in Catholicism.  Here is a link celebrating such connections.  The Ordo Arcanorum Gradalis is an Arthurian Fellowship that blends Neo-Paganism with Gnostic Christianity.  This web site contains chapters from Shadwynn's intelligent and enchanting book The Crafted Cup.  Finding this book in 1995 was one of the biggest events in my spiritual life.   Shrine of the Holy Grail

America's Stonehenge      There are Druidic mysteries in New England.

The Kewel Ristar: futhark rune magick        A good place to visit.

Most Asatruar can't stand the idea of Norse Wicca.   This is unfortunate.  In my opinion, the more people honoring the Aesir & Vanir the better.  As long as the Wiccans are careful to distinguish between authentic Heathen practices and modern Wiccan traditions, I have no problem with it.
My friend Chris N. happens to have an excellent site on Norse Wicca.

Yggdrasil- The Scandanavian Tree of Life and the Baha'i Faith   OK this one is pretty darn bizarre.  I think they spelled Scandinavian that way because they associate it with the tribe of Dan.

Frenchy's TEMPLE of the TREES Druid Info Site     very nice

Heathens Against Socialist Propaganda    Count me in!
(Don't bother clicking on this as it is a dead link.  I'm just hoping that someone will eventually recreate this movement working against the interests of extremists from both the far left and right.)

Asatru/German-American Pages    Good info on the Germanische Glaubens-Gemeinschaft

Norse Mythology  My brother-in law Mike recommended this one to me.  It's a good introduction to the mythology of the Teutonic Northland.

Over the years Ragnar has provided a great many resources for the Asatru community.   He served as co-editor of Odin's Nation News and was the founder of Lone Tree Kindred here in Colorado.  It is nice to have him nearby.  Lone Tree Fellowship

Here are some of the many Northern Tradition denominations.  For the most part these are all national or international organizations.  I have, however, also included some smaller regional tribes and micronations.  All of these groups certainly do not share the same points of view.
